Convert CSV to sitemap XML without fake dates

Use a two-column CSV headed url,lastmod. The URL is required; lastmod can be blank. Invalid calendar dates stop generation instead of leaking into the XML. Plain URL lists still work.

Only loc is required. The generator omits lastmod when your source has no date rather than stamping every page with today's date. Google only trusts lastmod when it reflects a real page change.

One sitemap can contain up to 50,000 URLs and must stay under 50 MB uncompressed. Upload the downloaded file to your site, then run it through the XML sitemap checker. If you already have a sitemap, use the URL extractor instead.

How to generate sitemap.xml

  1. Enter the canonical domain when your list includes relative paths such as /pricing.
  2. Paste one URL or path per line, or load a TXT or CSV file. For CSV, use the header url,lastmod.
  3. Download sitemap.xml, upload it to the same host, and validate the live file.
