Privacy policy

Summary
The SitemapKit XML Sitemap Finder & URL Extractor processes the website address you provide and the sitemap data it reads inside your browser. The extension does not send this crawl data to SitemapKit, does not use analytics, and does not sell or share user data.
Data the extension handles
When you start a scan, the extension handles the domain or sitemap URL you entered, the contents of robots.txt and XML sitemap files returned by that website, and the page URLs and sitemap metadata extracted from those files. This data can include information that the website publisher placed inside its URLs.
How the data is used
Chrome connects directly to the selected website to find and read sitemap files. Requests omit browser credentials and cookies. The data is used only to display the result and to create a local copy or export when you request one. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to sitemap discovery and crawling.
Storage and retention
Scan results are kept only in temporary extension memory. The extension does not use Chrome storage, cookies, or a remote database for crawl data. Closing the popup discards its displayed result. Files you explicitly export are saved by Chrome to the location you choose and remain under your control.
Permissions
The extension uses the active-tab permission to offer the current website as a scan target after you open the extension. It requests host access only for the website you choose to scan. That access is required for Chrome to read its robots.txt and sitemap files. The extension does not request access to every website during installation.
Links to SitemapKit
The extension includes links to SitemapKit for documentation, privacy, and optional API automation. Opening one of those links is a normal website visit governed by the main SitemapKit privacy policy. Crawl results are not attached to those links or transferred with them.
Security and changes
The extension limits sitemap response size, crawl depth, sitemap count, and URL count to reduce accidental resource use. This policy may be updated when extension behavior changes; the effective date above will be revised.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data handled through Chrome permissions is used only to provide the extension's sitemap discovery, crawl, display, copy, and export features. It is not transferred to SitemapKit or another party, used for advertising or profiling, or made available for human review.
